Backflow Valves takes your privacy seriously and treat personal information provided to us with respect and integrity. We comply with the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988.

 

Customers should be aware that Backflow Valves only collects and retains personal information which is relevant to the ongoing trading relationship with Backflow Valves. At no time is any "sensitive information" knowingly sought or retained. "Sensitive information" includes information or opinion about an individual's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious beliefs or affiliation, philosophical beliefs, membership of a professional or trade association, membership of a trade union, sexual preference or practices, criminal record or health information.

What this Privacy Policy covers
This Privacy Policy covers Backflow Valves’ treatment of personally identifiable information that Backflow Valves collects when you use Backflow Valves' services.

Backflow Valves regularly handles and transfers "personal information" (being information which is capable of identifying an individual) collected from a wide variety of sources including our website, during telephone calls and directly from customers. The type of personal information that we collect from you will depend upon what dealings you may have with us.

We sometimes share personal information within Backflow Valves with external organisations. We will take all reasonable security measures to protect your personal information. Backflow Valves has physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect personal information stored in both electronic and hard copy form. Data stored electronically is protected by both internal and external firewalls and access to electronic records is limited by passwords to authorised personnel only.

 

Changes in the future

This policy represents our Privacy Policy as at 1st July 2006.

References to Backflow Valves are to Chadoak Pty Ltd (A.B.N. 46 005 063 249) trading as 'Backflow Valves', which has issued this policy.

Backflow Valves reserves the right to change this policy at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting an update version of the policy on our website at www.backflowvalves.com.au
